The Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company (ECHEM), Misr Fertilizers Production Company (MOPCO), and Norwegian company Scatec have signed an agreement on the production of green ammonia from green hydrogen.
Petroleum Minister Tarek El Molla said on Friday that the deal is part of the government’s commitment to enforcing international treaties and agreements on climate change.
The minister added that the agreement matches his ministry’s strategy on cutting bad emissions to change Egypt into a regional hub for energy.
