Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan el Khatib asserted that Egypt and Norway have special economic ties that go back for long time of joint cooperation in the different domains and at the different levels.
Khatib pointed out to the importance of the joint efforts exerted between both countries to invest these distinguished relations in tangible cooperation projects for the interest of the Egyptian and Norwegian economies.
This came during Khatib’s reception to Norwegian Ambassador to Egypt Hilde Klemetsdal and a delegation from the Norwegian company of Scatec, specialized in the production of renewable energy.
The meeting reviewed the economic ties between Egypt and Norway and the current and future projects of Scatec company in the Egyptian market in the field of renewable energy.
He pointed out to the keenness of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade on providing all aspects of support and possible facilitation to the Norwegian companies to invest and expand in the Egyptian markets in
the different sectors of production and services, especially renewable energy projects.
Egypt appreciates the relations binding Cairo and Oslo and is looking forward to more cooperation, he said, pointing out that the Egyptian government recently implemented infrastructure projects.
Meanwhile, Klemetsdal asserted her country’s keenness on boosting economic cooperation with Egypt, pointing out that Norway owns a big number of investment projects in the Egyptian market.
