Minister of International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat on Friday affirmed the importance of Egyptian economic cooperation with the United States and China, which opens a gateway to enhancing economic relations with the continent of Africa.
Mashat was taking part in the Bloomberg New Economy Forum 2021, where she met with Deborah Lear, the Executive Director of Paulson Institute; a think and do tank dedicated to fostering a US-China relationship.
During the meeting, the minister discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation with the Paulson Institute within its role to support international efforts aimed at achieving sustainable development and enhancing joint work between relevant parties at the regional and international levels.
She also discussed bilateral cooperation with the Egyptian government to advance the climate action agenda and its preparations to host the 2022 United Nations Climate Conference COP27 in Sharm El-Sheikh.
The Minister highlighted the Egyptian strategic economic relations with the US and joint efforts to achieve sustainable development, promote climate action and transfer expertise.
