Egypt on Wednesday joined the statute establishing the African Medicines Agency.
Egypt’s Ambassador here Usama Abdel Khalek and its permanent delegate to the African Union signed the statute in a ceremony that was attended by AU Commissioner for Social Affairs and Health Amira Fadel.
In a statement issued by the embassy, the ambassador said that the new African agency will play an important role for enhancing public health in Africa.
