Minister of Communications Amr Talaat discussed Friday with Japan’s Ambassador in Cairo Oka Hiroshi the investment potentials in Egypt and ways to attract Japanese businesses to the North African country.
Talaat and Hiroshi probed means of boosting cooperation between Egypt and Japan in the communications and information technology fields, especially in digitization.
Talaat hailed as “strong” ties binding Cairo and Tokyo at the political and economic levels, as he kept the Japanese ambassador posted on Egypt’s efforts to build an integrated digital system and community.
For his side, Hiroshi voiced his country’s eagerness to sign an MoU with the Communications Ministry and to reach effective cooperation between the two countries at all levels.
