Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry lauded on Wednesday 15/2/2023 Spain’s balanced stance towards Egypt at international forums.
Shoukry gave the remarks during a meeting with his Spanish counterpart José Manuel Albares on the sidelines of their participation in the executive council of the African Union in Addis Ababa.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Hafez said talks reflected distinguished relations between Egypt and Spain.
The two sides expressed hope of enhancing bilateral cooperation.
Shoukry expressed desire to finalize signing the Egyptian-Spanish economic and technical committee that was agreed upon during the Spanish premier’s visit to Cairo in 2021.
He also hoped of activating Egyptian-Spanish business council to enhance economic cooperation, lauding the projects carried out by Spanish companies in Egypt especially in the transport domain.
Talks also tackled the latest developments in the Palestinian territories, Libya in addition to regional files related to security and stability of Mediterranean countries.
