Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expats expressed Tuesday Egypt’s eagerness for coordinating with Tunisia on regional issues, particularly the crisis in Libya, given that the two countries are neighboring states, as well as those of illegal migration and Gaza.
The minister’s statements came during a meeting with his Tunisian counterpart Mohamed Ali al-Nefty on the sidelines of an Arab League ministerial convention. Regarding the Gaza War, Minister Abdelatty presented the efforts deployed by Egypt to achieve a ceasefire, and pave the way for the delivery of humanitarian aid.
As for bilateral relations, the minister commended the growth of cooperation in the aftermath of the visit held by President Qais Said to Cairo in April 2021. Hence, he stressed the importance of leveraging more the current collaboration frameworks, and maintaining the periodicity of convening joint committees.
