Egypt and Cyprus have signed a memorandum of understanding on power linkage between the two countries.

According to a statement issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Electricity on Saturday 16/10/2021, the project is aimed at upgrading security of energy supply and boosting regional cooperation in this regard.

The project is an important part of current strategic cooperation and relations between Egypt and Cyprus, added the statement.
