Egypt constantly updates the coronavirus treatment protocols, spokesman for the Health Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said Friday.

Such updates are put into force upon patients’ response to various medicines used at isolation hospitals, he added in a Facebook post.

It is too early to link any updated treatment protocols to the Omicron variant, he further added.
