Egypt’s sitting volleyball team secured the bronze medal at the 2024 Paralympic Games with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Germany.

The match, held at North Paris Arena, saw Egypt triumph in sets of 25-22, 23-25, 25-23, 23-25, and 15-10.

This win marks Egypt’s third bronze medal in sitting volleyball, following previous victories in 2004 and 2016.

The intense game lasted two hours, with both teams displaying alternating dominance.

Today’s bronze is Egypt’s third medal at the Paris 2024 Paralympics avec Mohamed Elmenyawy and Rehab Ahmed gold medals.

Elmenyawy dominated the men’s 59kg powerlifting event with a lift of 201kg, while Rehab Ahmed topped the podium in the women’s 55kg powerlifting competition with a lift of 121kg.
