Egypt and Zimbabwe Explore Cooperation in Basic Education


Harare: Egyptian Ambassador to Harare Salwa Mowafi met with Zimbabwe’s Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Torerai Moyo to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in the field of basic education. The meeting, held on Thursday, focused on exploring opportunities for collaboration between the two countries.



According to State Information Service Egypt, the discussions covered potential roles for Egyptian companies in printing curricula and academic certificates. The two sides also talked about exchanging expertise in school feeding programs, student welfare, and advancing digitalization.



The Zimbabwean minister praised Egypt’s pioneering experience in modernizing pre-university education and its development of educational infrastructure to accommodate millions of students. Moyo also commended the significant progress Egypt has made in digitalization and the enhancement of educational technology platforms.



The Egyptian ambassador reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to cooperating with Zimbabwe and all African nations across various fields. She emphasized the capability of Egyptian companies to meet Africa’s educational demands at both pre-university and university levels.
