CAIRO: Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El Khatib emphasized on Friday the strength of bilateral relations between Egypt and Zambia, praising efforts exerted by Lusaka during its presidency of COMESA.
According to State Information Service Egypt: El Khatib highlighted the potential for enhancing cooperation in various areas between the two nations. Discussions have been initiated to explore opportunities for bilateral collaboration, focusing on trade and investment sectors. Both countries aim to leverage their strategic positions within the region to foster economic growth and mutual benefits.
El Khatib acknowledged Zambia’s role in leading the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), noting that its presidency has been instrumental in facilitating regional trade agreements and initiatives. The collaboration between Egypt and Zambia is expected to further strengthen regional economic integration and development within the COMESA framework.
