Cairo: Egypt’s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ayman Ashour met with Director of the British Council in Egypt Mark Howard to discuss enhancing collaboration between Egyptian and British higher education institutions, as per a Cabinet statement.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting focused on advancing joint efforts in key areas of mutual interest, aligning with the aspirations of both nations to promote development in education and research.
Ashour highlighted Egypt’s commitment to fostering innovation and scientific research in support of industry and the national economy through the presidential initiative Alliance and Development. He emphasised the crucial role universities play in achieving the goals of this initiative, in line with the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research and Egypt’s Vision 2030.
Discussions also covered cross-border education strategies and the internationalisation of higher education, aiming to broaden access to high-quality academic services, enhance institutional performance, and improve graduate outcomes.
