London: Minister of Civil Aviation Sameh El-Hefny concluded his official visit to the UK by holding a meeting at the British Department for Transport in London with Minister for Aviation, Maritime and Security Mike Kane. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in air transport, aviation security and safety, airport infrastructure development, sustainability, and environmental initiatives. Both sides also coordinated ahead of the upcoming ICAO General Assembly.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Hefny praised the historic aviation ties between Egypt and the UK, emphasizing the importance of partnerships to uphold the highest security standards and support sustainable development in the sector. He highlighted Egypt’s commitment to expanding its aviation capabilities, adopting cutting-edge technologies, and positioning itself as a regional hub. For his part, Kane welcomed the talks, reaffirming the strong and ongoing collaboration between the two nations in aviation. He emphasized the significance of continuous coordination on safety, infrastructure, and environmental sustainability.
