Cairo: Egyptian Awqaf Minister Dr. Osama el-Azhari met with Dr. Omar Habtoor Al Darei, chairman of the UAE’s General Authority of Islamic Affairs, to discuss enhancing communications and cooperation in various religious and dawa fields. Azhari, currently visiting the UAE, emphasized the meeting’s focus on exchanging expertise and experiences in dawa programs and organizing international conferences.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the discussions also highlighted the use of technology to enhance religious discourse and engage with audiences more effectively. Dr. Al Darei commended the Egyptian Awqaf Ministry for its significant role in promoting moderate thinking through four strategic approaches aimed at renewing religious discourse. He acknowledged the ministry’s efforts in sending representatives worldwide to advocate for the peaceful and tolerant teachings of Islam.
Both officials concurred on the necessity of coordinated actions to ensure the accurate message of Islam is conveyed globally
