Cairo: Deputy Premier for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel el Wazir recently engaged in discussions with Spanish Ambassador Alvaro Iranzo, focusing on strengthening industrial investments between Egypt and Spain. During the meeting, Wazir presented the ministry’s plans to organize an exhibition aimed at highlighting the needs of manufacturers concerning production supplies and spare parts for railway units.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Wazir emphasized the significance of encouraging Spanish companies to invest in Egypt’s high-priority sectors. These areas include the manufacturing of equipment and production components for new and renewable energy projects, such as solar panels and wind turbines, as well as equipment for water desalination and wastewater treatment. The minister highlighted the potential for Spanish companies to establish projects in these sectors, leveraging the incentives offered by Egypt to enhance the national economy and meet the deman
ds of both the local market and exports.
Wazir also reassured that his ministry is prepared to eliminate any obstacles that Spanish companies might face when operating in Egypt, thus facilitating smoother operations and stronger bilateral industrial cooperation.
