Dusseldorf: Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan el Khatib reviewed the economic developments in Egypt and the financial, industrial, and trade policies adopted by the Egyptian state. He emphasized the importance of promoting economic and trade ties between Egypt and the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
According to State Information Service Egypt, this discussion took place at the end of Khatib’s visit to Germany, where he conferred with the state minister for economic affairs in North Rhine-Westphalia about potential cooperation in trade and investment. The visit culminated in the inauguration of the first round of the economic summit between Egypt and North Rhine-Westphalia, attended by 100 German companies with interests in the Egyptian market.
During the summit, Khatib invited all participating companies to explore and invest in the available opportunities within the Egyptian market. He also highlighted the significant results of the economic reform efforts executed by the Egyptian go
vernment, aiming to boost the country’s market attractiveness.
In his address, Egypt’s Ambassador to Germany, Mohamed el Badry, praised the ambitious objectives set by both regions. He emphasized the significance of Khatib’s visit to Dusseldorf, which has provided substantial momentum to the economic and investment relations between Egypt and Germany.
