Egypt and Netherlands Explore Enhanced Youth Cooperation


Cairo: Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi has engaged in discussions with an official delegation from the Netherlands to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries and to advance Egypt’s national strategy for youth. The discussions focused on supporting education, creating job opportunities for youth, and increasing their participation in social and economic development.



According to State Information Service Egypt, Minister Sobhi emphasized the importance of collaboration between Egypt and the Netherlands, noting that the Egyptian government prioritizes youth empowerment as a key element in building the future. This is pursued through integrated national strategies and leveraging scientific, economic, and innovative potentials. Minister Sobhi expressed eagerness for further partnerships with the Netherlands to enhance the sports sector and exchange expertise.



Dutch Ambassador for Youth, Education and Work, Jurriaan Middelhoff, praised the strong relations between the two nations. He highlighted that cooperation in sports and education serves as a cornerstone for promoting sustainable development and youth empowerment. Middelhoff noted that the discussions included several joint projects aimed at expanding cooperation.



The meeting also saw the attendance of Dutch ambassador in Cairo, Peter Mollema, underlining the commitment of both nations to exploring avenues for collaboration in youth-related fields.
