Cairo: Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El-Khatib visited Morocco to discuss strengthening economic ties with Moroccan Minister of Industry and Trade Ryad Mezzour. The discussions focused on enhancing joint economic efforts and addressing topics of mutual concern.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Khatib emphasized that the meeting with Mezzour revolved around increasing intra-trade and facilitating trade exchanges between Egypt and Morocco. The Investment Ministry released a statement highlighting the commitment of both nations to these goals.
The ministers agreed to establish a direct line of communication to enhance Moroccan exports to the Egyptian market. They also plan to organize a business-to-business (B2B) forum in April in Cairo to foster trade partnerships within the private sectors of both countries.
Additionally, the parties committed to ongoing direct coordination on shared interests, with a particular focus on joint investment projects, especially in the industrial
sector.
