Cairo: Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfiq held discussions with visiting Kuwaiti Defense Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf al Sabah and his delegation on enhancing cooperation between the interior ministries of Egypt and Kuwait. The discussions also covered recent security issues of mutual interest.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the visit is part of the strong ties between Egypt and Kuwait. Minister Sabah emphasized Kuwait’s commitment to advancing cooperation mechanisms and sharing expertise with Egyptian security bodies. The focus is on various security domains and leveraging the training capabilities of the Egyptian Interior Ministry.

Minister Tawfiq highlighted the importance of reinforcing cooperation with Kuwaiti security bodies, acknowledging the historical ties between the two countries. He stressed the need for collaborative efforts to counter negative phenomena arising from organized crime, considering the ongoing changes and developments on the regional and international fronts.
