Cairo: Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy engaged in discussions with his Jordanian counterpart Lina Annab to explore avenues for enhancing joint cooperation in the tourism and antiquities sectors. The talks aimed to identify potential areas for future collaboration between the two nations.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting addressed the executive programs of cooperation currently in place and reviewed the already-inked memorandums of understanding between Egypt and Jordan. Both ministers emphasized the importance of strengthening ties and working together to promote their rich cultural heritage and tourism industries.
Fathy extended an invitation to Annab and her delegation to visit Egypt soon. The visit is intended to facilitate participation in a road show organized in collaboration with private sector representatives from both countries, along with several trip organizers. This initiative aims to showcase the potential for increased tourism and business opportunities between the two nations.
A significant point of discussion was the potential increase in flight frequency between Amman and Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt’s popular Red Sea resort city. The ministers explored ways to enhance connectivity, thereby boosting tourism and facilitating easier travel for tourists and business travelers alike.
