Egypt and Hungary Strengthen Ties, Discuss Arab Plan for Gaza Recovery


Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty engaged in a telephone conversation with Hungarian Foreign Minister P©ter Szijj¡rt³ to deliberate on the enhancement of bilateral relations and the Arab Plan for Early Recovery and Reconstruction in Gaza.



According to State Information Service Egypt, during the dialogue, Abdelatty highlighted the robust relationship between Egypt and Hungary, emphasizing the necessity for increased collaboration, especially in the sectors of trade and investment. Abdelatty provided an update on the extraordinary Arab summit held in Cairo, which endorsed the Gaza recovery plan in conjunction with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). He reiterated Egypt’s commitment to gathering international support for the plan’s implementation.



The ministers also touched upon Egypt’s upcoming conference on Gaza reconstruction. This event is being organized in collaboration with the Palestinian government and the United Nations and forms part of Egypt’s continuous efforts to maintain the ceasefire in the region. Szijj¡rt³ expressed appreciation for Egypt’s significant contribution to the Gaza recovery initiative and ceasefire stabilization, and he reaffirmed Hungary’s support for Egypt’s endeavors to enhance security and stability in the region.
