Egypt and France are discussing ways to enhance cooperation in the field of tourism and antiquities

Dr. Khaled El-Anany, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, received, in his office at the ministry’s headquarters in Zamalek, Deputy Catherine Morin-Desailly, Head of the Committee on Culture, Tourism and Heritage in the French Senate, to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between Egypt and France in the field of tourism and antiquities.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador Assem Hanafi Al-Saifi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Parliamentary Affairs, Minister Plenipotentiary Dalia Abdel-Fattah, General Supervisor of the General Department of International Relations and Agreements at the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, and the delegation accompanying the Chairman of the Committee on Culture, Tourism and Heritage of the French Senate.

Dr. Khaled El-Anany began the meeting by welcoming Representative Catherine Morin-Desailly and the attendees, reviewing the current tourist situation in the Egyptian tourist destination and the most prominent developments in the tourism sector in Egypt, and the rates of tourist movement coming from France in particular, and the rest of the world in general, and pointed out the efforts made by The Egyptian state to restore the incoming tourism movement to Egypt from different markets for their rates.
