Egypt and C´te d’Ivoire Explore Enhanced Trade and Food Industry Cooperation


CAIRO: Egypt and C´te d’Ivoire are seeking to deepen ties in trade and food industries, following a meeting between Egypt’s Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, Sherif Farouk, and C´te d’Ivoire’s Ambassador to Cairo, Dole Gueu Albert. The discussions focused on exchanging expertise in key sectors, particularly the manufacture of edible oils, to foster sustainable development and improve food security in both nations.



According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting underscored Egypt’s commitment to strengthening relations with C´te d’Ivoire. Farouk highlighted the potential for both countries to advance cooperation in food manufacturing and the exchange of modern technology. The dialogue also touched on the establishment of strategic partnerships to enhance the commercial supply chain, with both parties recognizing the significant role of the private sector in supporting economic integration efforts.



Ambassador Albert expressed C´te d’Ivoire’s interest in bolstering business relations with Egypt, emphasizing the value of learning from Egypt’s leading experience in food industries. He noted the strategic importance of partnering with Egypt, a key player in Africa, in promoting mutual economic growth and integration.
