Beijing: Egypt and China have signed a protocol aimed at enhancing security cooperation between the two nations. Minister of Interior Major General Mahmoud Tawfik of Egypt, currently on an official visit to China, engaged in discussions with Wang Xiaohong, the Minister of Public Security of China, at the Chinese Ministry of Public Security’s headquarters. The talks focused on the cooperation between the security agencies of both countries and explored ways to support mutual interests and address common security challenges.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the discussions led to the signing of a protocol designed to bolster security collaboration in tackling various forms of crime. The Chinese Minister of Public Security praised Egypt’s significant role in the Middle East and the efforts of the Egyptian Ministry of Interior in combating terrorism and organized crime.
