Sofia: Egyptian Ambassador in Sofia Nader Saad has engaged in discussions with Bulgarian Interior Minister Daniel Mitov, focusing on cooperation between Egypt and the EU in the field of migration. Mitov expressed Bulgaria’s willingness to coordinate with Egypt in sending skilled Egyptian workers to meet the demands of the Bulgarian labor market and emphasized the importance of opening channels for legal migration while continuing efforts to combat illegal migration.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting also addressed Egypt’s efforts to de-escalate the situation in the Gaza Strip, highlighting the severe humanitarian consequences following the resumption of Israeli attacks on the Palestinian enclave. Ambassador Saad briefed Minister Mitov on Egypt’s Gaza reconstruction plan, stressing the critical need for international community support to back this initiative and achieve a ceasefire promptly.
