London: Minister of Civil Aviation Sameh El-Hefny met with Airbus executives, including the company’s Head for Africa and the Middle East and Sales Chief Usman Mustang, to discuss the future of air transport and cooperation in training, maintenance, and fleet modernization.
According to State Information Service Egypt, during the meeting held in London, Airbus officials presented the latest technological innovations in aviation, expressing their commitment to providing technical support and expertise. This support aims to strengthen the long-standing economic partnership between Egypt and Airbus, which has been pivotal in attracting long-term investments in the aviation sector.
Hefny emphasized Airbus’s role as a key partner in Egypt’s civil aviation industry, highlighting a collaboration spanning over 50 years. He noted that this partnership significantly enhances passenger comfort and boosts Egypt’s competitive edge in regional and international aviation markets.
He also stressed the importance of adheri
ng to the agreed delivery schedules for EgyptAir’s new aircraft, particularly in light of global delays in aircraft manufacturing.
