Egypt, Algeria keen on opening new horizons for economic cooperation

Trade and Industry Minister Nevin Gamea said on Thursday 30/6/2022 that Egypt and Algeria are keen on opening new horizons of cooperation based on strong economic relations binding them.

 

Gamea was delivering a speech on the occasion of the opening of the Egyptian-Algerian Businessmen Economic Forum with the participation of a host of Egyptian and Algerian businessmen.

 

Holding the forum comes in light of challenging economic circumstances, a matter which requires more efforts to boost economic partnership between the two countries, Gamea noted.

 

The minister pointed out that Egypt is ready to offer its expertise in the fields of construction, food industries, textiles, timber, and spare parts.

 

According to her, the volume of trade exchange between the two countries reached $787 billion in 2021, a 2% increase compared to 2020. About 22 companies are operating in in Algeria with investments worth $2 billion.
