Today, Saturday, Benina International Airport denied the validity of the news circulated by some social media pages regarding an Egypt-Air plane coming from Cairo Airport suffering from a technical malfunction, which led to it being unable to land at the airport.
The Public Relations and Security Media Office of the Benina Airport Security Directorate said that, the reason the plane did not land was due to bad weather conditions and lack of visibility as a result of dirt and dust, and it landed at Athens Airport as it is considered the alternative airport in emergency cases.
The airport called on citizens, pages and various media outlets to take information from official and reliable sources.
