Health and Population Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar emphasized on Egypt’s commitment to enhancing Palestine’s healthcare sector amid the current challenges it faces to improve services and ensure health security for citizens.
Abdel Ghaffar made these remarks during his meeting with Maged Abu Ramadan, the Palestinian Minister of Health, and Palestinian Ambassador to Egypt Diab al Louh, to discuss cooperation. The meeting was held on the fringe of the Egypt-hosted PHDC24 conference, themed “Human Development: For a Sustainable Future”
The minister expressed readiness to receive Palestinian medical teams for getting specialized training in Egypt’s oncology and stem cell transplant centers to support a planned cancer treatment center in Ramallah.
Furthermore, he confirmed that vaccination campaigns are continuing for Palestinian children in Egypt to be immunized against tetanus and diphtheria, saying that medical teams will be available for that purpose at the Palestinian embassy premises and other locations a
cross the country.
