Education Minister Reda Hegazy discussed in a meeting with Director General of the Islamic World Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) Salim Mohammed Al Malik, ways of cementing bilateral cooperation on the development of education and enhancing the capabilities of teachers.
During the meeting, the education minister commended fruitful cooperation with the ICESCO, affirming his ministry’s readiness to provide all means of support for the organization’s activities and programs in Egypt, according to a statement released by the Education Ministry on Sunday.
Hegazy briefed Al Malik on the ministry’s efforts to qualify teachers, especially in light of the current revolution in digital transformation that requires improving their performance.
On his part, Al Malik reviewed the ICESCO’s strategy in education and its training programs for teachers that suit the needs of each country.
The two sides probed the key programs and activities that are carried out as part of the partnership between Egypt and ICESCO, notably the “International Professional Teaching Certificates” project.
The project aims to build a comprehensive system for equipping teachers and education specialists with the necessary competencies in their various fields of specialization to achieve and develop the objectives set out in curricula.
