Education Minister Hegazy met on Wednesday 8/2/2023 Vice President for Human Development at the World Bank (WB) Mamta Murthi and WB’s Country Director for Egypt, Yemen and Djibouti Marina Wes and her accompanying delegation.
Hegazy asserted the importance of cooperation between the Ministry of Education and the World Bank to improve the education system in Egypt, lauding the role of the bank in supporting the development plans in Egypt.
He pointed out that the WB’s project is one of the projects that helped in achieving educational quality and reform.
The ministry resumes developing the educational system, he said, pointing out that the plan to develop education is adopted by the state and the ministry is working on continuing the educational development track.
He said that the ministry cooperates with the ministries and bodies concerned to implement “the national project of developing the Egyptian family” and “Decent Life” Initiative to improve the living conditions of the citizens and improve the quality of education for all the segments of the society.
Mamta Murthi lauded the experiment of developing education in Egypt via developing curricula and inventing new tracks.
Murthi asserted the World Bank’s keenness on maintaining the support to the different developmental projects in Egypt especially in the field of education.
