“Education” launches the volunteer work campaign “Hand in Hand and Our Tomorrow”

Ramallah- Ma’an- The Ministry of Education and Higher Education launched today a volunteer work campaign under the slogan “Hand in Hand, Our Tomorrow” at Abu Shkhaidem Secondary School for Girls in the Birzeit Education Directorate. The campaign is part of an initiative that includes all the different directorates, as it was launched from Abu Shkhaidem School as a first step within the ministry’s approach to promote the values ??of volunteer work and social responsibility among students.

The event was attended by the Assistant Undersecretaries for Student Affairs and Planning, Projects and Buildings Affairs, Sadiq Al-Khudour and Dr. Hassan Abu Al-Thaher, the Director General of Birzeit Education Nasr Abu Hijleh, the Director General of Student Activities Hamed Makho, the Director of the Scout Activities Department Sahar Majdouba, the Student Activities family in the ministry and the directorate, and representatives of the Parents’ Council, the local community and the village council in the town.

The Ministr
y affirmed its continuous efforts to contribute to enhancing the love of volunteer work among students, stressing the need to devote these values ??through more programs and activities throughout the academic year, noting that volunteer work is not only a means of serving the community, but also a tool for developing students’ social and leadership skills, which contributes to preparing an aware and responsible generation.

The Ministry praised the students’ keenness to organize and implement volunteer activities, stressing that their great love for volunteering reflects their spirit of initiative and community participation. The Ministry commended

the efforts of the Birzeit Education Directorate in preparing for this campaign, in addition to the support of the Parents’ Council, which played a pivotal role in encouraging students to participate actively in these activities.

During the event, several corners were displayed that serve the interest of equipping the school, including equipping the computer and
library, in addition to recycling and straw-making initiatives, which reflect the efforts of students and the local community in improving the school environment and developing its educational resources in sustainable and innovative ways.
