ABU DHABI: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS), the EAHS has launched an award for horses with the highest total points in participation in all seasonal championships, dedicated to 4 categories which are fillies, mares, colts, and stallions participating in championships from 1st to 10th place in each category.

The EAHS confirmed that the prize will be awarded to horses with the highest points during their participation in seasonal championships from within the UAE and abroad, based on the classification of the championship.

The prize pool is valued at AED3 million, and it is restricted to one prize per owner even if the owner has won in more than one category. Winning horses in each of the 4 categories (fillies, colts, mares, stallions) will receive AED150,000, with the second, third, fourth and fifth place prizes
set at AED120,000, AED100,000, AED70,000 and AED60,000, respectively. Meanwhile, horses ranking 6th to 10th will receive AED50,000 each.

Furthermore, in addition to the prizes for winning horses which total 40, a commemorative shield will be awarded to horses that receive the highest points in each category.

The EAHS announced that these awards come within the framework of the ongoing efforts to support owners and breeders and encourage them to pay more attention to Arabian horses, as well as to motivate them to improve the quality of their breeding and enhance the spirit of competition among them in a manner which contributes to preserving the heritage of Arabian horses.
