E-Platform for Medical Tourism Aims to Enhance Health Standards: Health Minister.


Cairo: Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar emphasized Egypt’s commitment to advancing medical tourism and elevating health services to meet global quality standards, as directed by the country’s political leadership. This was highlighted during a meeting with representatives from the LGA Group at the New Administrative Capital, where discussions focused on a proposal for an e-platform dedicated to medical tourism, viewed as a strategic initiative to achieve superior health standards.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the delegation provided a detailed presentation on the design of the proposed e-platform for medical tourism. The presentation included information on how users can register on the platform and the range of services available to tourists and non-Egyptians seeking medical treatment in Egypt. The spokesperson for the Health Ministry, Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, noted that the minister reviewed the strategic work plan for the platform.

The spokesman highlighted the
importance of collaboration among all relevant state bodies to streamline processes and advance the medical tourism initiative, ensuring comprehensive support for this sector’s activation.
