During his presence in Baku, Foreign Minister Malki holds talks with the Azerbaijani president, Greek counterpart

During his presence in the Azerbaijani capital Baku to attend the meeting of the Coordinating Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Riyad Malki held talks with the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and talked on the phone with his Greek counterpart Giorgos Gerapetritis. The Azerbaijani president stressed his country’s continued support to the State of Palestine in all fields and its support for the rights of the Palestinian people in international forums until the State of Palestine obtains its independence on the borders of the fourth of June 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital. Malki thanked Azerbaijan for its support for the rights of the Palestinian people and their just cause in all international forums and for the support of the Azerbaijani government for the education sector and infrastructure in Palestine, welcoming the imminent opening of the Azerbaijani representative office to the State of Palestine in the coming weeks. In the telephone call with Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis, Malki discussed strengthening and developing bilateral relations between the two countries, while pointing to the importance of activating the tripartite committee between Palestine, Cyprus and Greece.
