‘Dukan Al Farha’offers support to 2,000 families in Beni Suef

The Tahya Misr (Long Live Egypt) Fund launched on Wednesday23/8/2023 the exhibition of the “Dukan Al Farha” (Shop of joy) initiative in the Beni Suef Governorate, southern of Cairo.

The exhibition offers support to more than 2,000 of the most vulnerable families that were subjected to a community study, to select their needs from the exhibition as a gift from fund.

The exhibition comes in response to directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on expanding the Tahya Misr social protection activities.

The Beni Suef exhibition is part of the largest campaign ever to offer clothing to the most vulnerable families. The exhibition will visit all governorates, Tahya Misr Executive Director Tamer Abdel-Fattah said.

The two-day exhibition seeks to provide clothes and other household needs to the targeted families, he added.

It offers 20,000 pieces of clothes, accessories, cooking utensils, and furnishing items. The event also distributes children’s toys and various stationeries. Each family of the 2,000 is allowed to choose 15 items for free.

The exhibition is organised in co-operation with Egyptian Clothing Bank and the Orman Charity Association.

The Beni Suef “Shop of joy” targets the neediest families in several villages in the governorate.

The initiative is part of activities of the Tahya Misr Fund’s social protection axis, which aims to alleviate the burden of living costs on the most vulnerable families. It is being implemented in coordination with partner civil society organisations with the chief goal of ensuring that support reaches those who are worthy of it.
