Dubai Police Commander-in-Chief attends graduation of summer course students


DUBAI: Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, presided over the graduation ceremony, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, for 1,136 male and female students who participated in the Dubai Police Summer Courses programme organised by the International Hemaya Centre at the General Department of Anti-Narcotics. The theme of the 2024 edition of the programme was ‘Our Summer: Security and Happiness… Innovation and Leadership’.

The programme was carried out in cooperation with several key entities, including the Emirates Schools Establishment, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, the Dubai Sports Council, the Department of Economy and Tourism, the Dubai Municipality, and the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services.

During the graduation ceremony, the students presented diverse performances, demonstrating the skills they had developed through the summer programme. The programme included a variety of courses, such as the Military Course, Sports Training, Aspi
ring Detective, Diving, Junior Lifesaver, Future Officer, and a Shooting Course.

Lt. Gen. Al Marri emphasised the importance of the summer courses, which are crucial in equipping students with valuable security knowledge to contribute positively to their community. He added that Dubai Police is committed to organising these summer courses for students annually, given their beneficial impact on honing and developing the students’ diverse skills and keeping them engaged productively.

Lt. Gen. Al Marri noted that this year, the summer courses programme welcomed 1,136 students from 31 different nationalities, all of whom benefited from the diverse specialised courses.”
