Temperatures on Friday are expected to reach 7 to -8 C above their annual average during this time of the year, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update. The weather is forecast to be dry, relatively hot and dusty in many regions, especially eastern regions, and hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba. Winds will be southeasterly to southwesterly active, picking up at times and stirring dust in the Badia. On Saturday, a pleasant and humid air mass is expected to affect the Kingdom, causing temperatures to drop significantly, reaching below their annual average by 4 to -5 C. The weather will be pleasantly hot in the heights and plains, and relatively warm in the rest of the regions. Today, temperatures in Amman would hit a high of 34 C, dropping to 13 C at night, while the port city of Aqaba would hit 40 C, sliding to 22 C during night hours.
