Cairo: Dr Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, attended the press conference announcing the launch of the second edition of the “Business, Young People” exhibition. The event, held under the patronage of the Prime Minister, is scheduled to take place from 29 January to 8 February at Cairo International Stadium. It will showcase a selection of young entrepreneurs and experts in entrepreneurship and economic development.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Dr Ashraf Sobhi stated that the Ministry of Youth and Sports is actively coordinating with Egyptian state institutions to support handicrafts and heritage industries. This initiative aims to preserve Egyptian cultural identity while providing backing for start-up projects and empowering young people to cultivate their ideas into successful economic ventures. He underscored the ministry’s focus on enhancing the local industry’s role through innovation and development, thereby adding value to national products and bolstering their position in both local and international markets.
Dr Sobhi further mentioned that the Ministry of Youth and Sports is committed to creating new job opportunities for young people through these initiatives. This effort aligns with the state’s plan to reduce unemployment rates and inspire young individuals to leverage their abilities and energies towards building a better future for themselves and the nation.
In his concluding remarks, the Minister of Youth and Sports stressed the significance of collaboration among all sectors to support young people’s economic and professional aspirations.
