62 Palestinians were killed and 220 injured in the last 24 hours due to ongoing Israeli airstrikes across various areas of Gaza, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health. This raises the total number of casualties since the Israeli offensive began on 7th October to 42,289 fatalities, primarily women and children, with 98,684 injured. Thousands remain trapped under rubble.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health has reported difficulties for rescue teams in reaching those trapped in the streets and under collapsed buildings.

Meanwhile, the second round of the polio vaccination campaign commenced today in central Gaza, aiming to immunise over half a million children under the age of ten. The campaign will continue for three days in central Gaza, followed by three days each in Khan Yunis and the northern regions. The World Health Organisation has urged for a halt in airstrikes to ensure a safe environment for this health initiative.
