Discover a group of artifacts chosen as antiquities of the month of August in museums across the Republic selected by a public referendum done through the private museum pages on social media.

This comes within the framework of the role of museums as cultural and civilized institutions that work to raise tourism and archaeological awareness among all segments of society.

This month artifacts related to the Flooding of the Nile, which falls on August 15 of each year.

Islamic Art Museum:

Displays a marble mosaic fountain, dating back to the Mamluk era

Coptic Museum:

Displays a bronze jug with the decoration of a cross in a semicircle

Sharm El Sheikh Museum:

Displays a bowl of fragrant paints in the shape of a fish, made of tile and holding a cartouche of King Thutmose III

Royal Jewelry Museum:

Displays the first-class cultivation medal, made of gold and silver, in the shape of a star, with the word “agriculture” written in gold in the middle

Farouk Corner Museum in Helwan:

Displays a set of 5 pieces of porcelain inlaid with silver with scenes of the Nile and the pyramids, from the twentieth century

National Police Museum:

Displays a pharaonic boat with 10 sailors from the river police from the ancient Egyptian era

Manial Palace Museum:

Displays a wooden pad that reads: “If you are in Egypt and you are not living on its running river, then you are not in Egypt”

Royal Vehicles Museum:

Displays a bronze medal of Prince Yusef Kamal, with his name inscribed on it.

Gayer Anderson Museum:

Displays a wooden boat, of the ancient Egyptian style, with a parachute under a man, and 6 servants rowing

Cairo International Airport Museum 2:

Displays a chain pendant in the form of a Quran made of gold and platinum and studded with diamonds

Cairo International Airport Museum 3:

Displays a bronze statue of the winged goddess Isis crowned with the Hathur crown, from the Greco-Roman period

Alexandria National Museum:

Displays a rectangular bottle with a narrow mouth and a short cylindrical neck

Hurghada Museum:

Displays a model of a colorful wooden boat with a group of fishermen and a fishing net on it

Suez National Museum:

Displays part of a limestone block, inscribed with a scene of the Nile deity Hapi, the Nile god, carrying a table on which there are pots and lotus flowers, representing the bounties of the Nile, from the late era

Ismailia Archeology Museum:

Displays a wooden statue of the god Hapi, the Lord of the Nile, wearing a chin, covered with a layer of linen with a thin layer of plaster painted black, from the Ptolemaic period

Tanta Archaeological Museum:

Displays a part of an architectural building inscribed with the god Hapi, the Nile god, on top of which is a crown consisting of a group of papyrus and a branch of a lotus flower

Matrouh Archeology Museum:

Displays a coin made of bronze, bearing “Ethenia”, the symbol of prosperity and goodness in Greece, from the Greek era

Tell Basta Museum:

Displays a pottery bottle with two necks, each of which ends with a nozzle with circles in light brown and used to preserve water

Kom Ushim Archeology Museum:

Displays a model of a boat made of wood, from the Middle Kingdom, with 16 sailors on it

Mallawi Museum:

Displays a group of pottery windows from the Islamic era

Sohag National Museum:

Displays an altar of King Seti I of quartz, with hieroglyphic inscriptions on all four sides and scenes of the Nile deity, from the New Kingdom

Luxor Museum of Ancient Egyptian Art:

Displays two facing statues united by one base, one of which depicts King Hathor Hebek kneeling before the god Atum, who is seated on a chair

Mummification Museum in Luxor:

Displays a statue of the ancient Egyptian god Osiris, the god of agriculture, fertility and rebirth

New Valley Archeology Museum:

Displays decorated pottery vessels made of Nile silt, from the Coptic period

Nubian Museum:

Displays gray pottery vessels with rows of cattle on it
