DigiSkills Development, Employment Program for University Graduates Launched

Amman: The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, in partnership with the Digital Skills Association (DigiSkills), has launched the Digital Skills Development and Employment program to equip Jordanian university graduates with essential skills to thrive in the technology sector.

DigiSkills said in a statement Monday that the World Bank-funded program is part of the ministry’s Youth, Technology, and Jobs Project, and that it will be executed through agreements with 14 training and employment companies, offering both practical and theoretical training to over 2,000 graduates.

The program targets graduates in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines, aiming to prepare them for the labor market. It offers a comprehensive range of skill development activities across various technical fields, including software development, data analysis, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, augmented reality, virtual reality, and mixed
reality, said the statement.

Graduates will have the opportunity to choose from over 30 training tracks tailored to their interests and professional goals within the technology industry, it added.

DigiSkills’ General Manager, Nabeel Fayoumi, said the program is particularly focused on engaging technical and engineering graduates seeking jobs and encouraging them to join training programs.
