GAZA: The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) confirmed on Monday that it will continue to provide humanitarian relief assistance in the Gaza Strip despite the major challenges it faces.
According to a statement by the agency, UNRWA spokeswoman Enas Hamdan said that the UN agency currently runs 10 health centers and 100 mobile medical points to meet the needs of the population in the Gaza Strip.
She added that the humanitarian situation in the Strip is worsening due to the lack of aid and the continued Israeli bombardment, which makes the daily lives of civilians more difficult.
Hamdan affirmed, “The residents of the Gaza Strip are living in catastrophic conditions with the absence of safe places and even the areas that are claimed to be safe are crowded with displaced people and lack basic facilities.
