ABU DHABI: The Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi (DCD) has unveiled a groundbreaking new Sport Data Dashboard, a transformative platform that consolidates data from multiple government agencies.
This remarkable achievement underscores DCD’s commitment to advancing the sports sector in Abu Dhabi and aligns seamlessly with the overarching strategy to elevate and improve the emirate’s sports landscape.
A testament to the collaborative efforts of multiple Abu Dhabi government entities led by DCD, the Dashboard includes data sets on various areas of the Abu Dhabi sports sector meticulously collected from partner government entities, alongside data from primary research conducted by DCD.
As a pivotal component of DCD’s Sport Data Governance Project, the Sport Data Dashboard is a multi-faceted project geared towards not only providing a holistic view of the sports sector’s performance but also harnessing the power of data to fuel its growth.

By compiling relevant data from various sources, we are enabling key players within our wide-ranging sports sector, both public and private, to strategically align with each other and contribute to our mission of cultivating an active, cohesive society.
He added, “In collaboration with stakeholders within the Abu Dhabi Sports Sector, we are proud to introduce the Abu Dhabi Sports Data Dashboard, a pioneering dashboard aimed at enabling decision-making within sports sector, fostering increased participation, and emphasising the significance of data-driven strategies in advancing Abu Dhabi’s sports sector.
This innovative platform offers real-time insights into various facets including sports governance, economy, facilities, entities, initiatives, and sports participant demographics. By leveraging this comprehensive data, stake
holders are empowered to make informed decisions that will steer the future trajectory of sports in Abu Dhabi.
This strategic tool not only amplifies transparency but also equips us to shape policies and initiatives that cater to the evolving needs of our diverse community, ensuring a more dynamic and inclusive sporting landscape.”
The Sport Data Dashboard will enable the capturing of performance indicators from across different pillars within the sports sector. The dashboard also aims to strengthen the ability of sports entities to make well-informed decisions, catalysing the journey towards fostering an active and engaged society.
The DCD and its partners facilitated workshops with technical teams in the sports industry, enabling them to thoroughly examine the platform’s tools and data analysis methods. These options empower decision-makers to derive valuable insights, thereby bolstering future choices and strategies based on the generated outputs.
