Cairo: Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production, General Abdel Maguid Sakr, attended the graduation ceremony of the Egyptian military diplomatic representation abroad course. This event underscores the Armed Forces General Command’s commitment to preparing officers selected to serve in Egyptian Military Diplomatic Representation Offices worldwide.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the ceremony was graced by the presence of Chief-of-Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, commanders of main branches, senior Armed Forces officers, government ministers, public figures, and representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The event showcased a presentation of activities conducted during the course, aimed at improving the officers’ diplomatic skills.
A documentary film was screened, illustrating the various stages of training for participants who are set to represent the Armed Forces as ambassadors in friendly and brotherly countries. Major General Staff Sherif Fikry, Head of the Military Intelligence Authority, expressed gratitude to the Armed Forces General Command for its support in training military representatives through advanced scientific methods.
General Sakr, in his address, conveyed greetings from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to the attendees and congratulated the graduates on their achievement. He emphasized the significant responsibility they bear in their upcoming international assignments and urged them to represent Egypt with honour. He highlighted the strong ties between the Egyptian Armed Forces and their counterparts in friendly countries, encouraging efforts to foster military cooperation and reinforce Egypt’s influential role at regional and international levels.
