Cairo: Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production, General Abdel Maguid Sakr, attended the graduation ceremony of the Egyptian military diplomatic representation abroad course. This event underscores the Armed Forces General Command’s commitment to preparing officers for service in Egyptian Military Diplomatic Representation Offices worldwide.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the ceremony was graced by the presence of Chief-of-Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, along with commanders of the main branches, senior Armed Forces officers, government ministers, public figures, and representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The ceremony included a presentation showcasing the activities undertaken during the course, aimed at enhancing the diplomatic skills of the officers.
A documentary was screened to highlight the various stages of training for participants who will serve as ambassadors for the Armed Forces in friendly countries. Major General Staff Sherif Fikry, Head of the Military Intelligence Authority, expressed gratitude to the Armed Forces General Command for its unwavering support in training military representatives using advanced scientific methods. He emphasized that such courses help diplomats understand global developments and refine their abilities for effective performance in their roles.
General Sakr, in his address, conveyed President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s greetings to the attendees and congratulated the graduates. He highlighted the significant responsibility they bear as they begin their international assignments, urging them to represent Egypt with honour. He emphasized the strong ties between the Egyptian Armed Forces and their counterparts in friendly countries and encouraged continuous efforts to foster military cooperation, reinforcing Egypt’s pivotal role regionally and internationally.
