Cairo: Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides is set to visit Cairo on February 17, following an invitation from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. The visit marks a significant step in the collaboration between Cyprus and Egypt, particularly in the energy sector.
According to State Information Service Egypt, President Christodoulides announced his upcoming visit via his official account on the social media platform “X.” During the visit, two crucial agreements will be signed concerning the development of the Cronos and Aphrodite gas resources located in Cyprus’ Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). This development is seen as a pivotal move to enhance growth and cooperation in the region.
