Culture Minister Ahmed Fouad Hanno met Sunday with EU Ambassador in Cairo Christian Berger to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation.
The meeting took up a number of joint activities the two sides intend to organize with the aim to protect and document non-material heritage, a statement by the Culture Ministry said.
Hanno and Berger also talked about organizing workshops to detect and support talented cadres in the fields of culture and arts.
Hanno said his Ministry always seeks to boost cooperation with international partners, especially the EU, noting that Egypt has a huge cultural infrastructure that is always under development thanks to those partnerships.
Berger said the EU pays big attention to supporting cultural development in Egypt. The pan-European body acts to deepen its partnership with the Culture Ministry in Egypt through training programs and workshops as part of efforts to promote cultural exchange between the two sides, he added.
