CPF Concludes Education Supervisors Workshops

The Crown Prince Foundation (CPF), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the QatarDebate Center, on Monday wrapped up week-long capacity-building workshops for 35 education supervisors from across the Kingdom.

The initiative is part of a training-of-trainers program to harness debate and arbitration skills, empower participants to train supervisors and teachers, promote a culture of debate and form national-level debate teams.

The workshops also provided training to the CPF team on organizing debate-related events.

Khaled Al-Sabti, an Arabic language supervisor at the Marka Education Directorate, highlighted knowledge gained through training, noting that the workshops enriched arbitration skills and improved understanding of the debate process, allowing participants to better supervise and enhance debates.

Sahar Al-Hiwarat, a participant from the Deir Alla Education Directorate, commended the program, emphasizing the valuable skills she gained in critical thinking, presenting evidence and pr
oblem-solving, adding that the workshops were an opportunity to refine her arbitration abilities.

The initiative emanated from a memorandum of understanding between the CPF and QatarDebate, signed a year ago, with the goal of transferring Qatar’s successful debate experiences to Jordan. The partnership aims to build youth debate teams representing Jordan in international competitions.
